The one stop shop for manufacturing leaders
With speakers including Coca-Cola, BAE Systems and British Steel being joined by industry-leading exhibitors, the second annual Manufacturing Management Show is the must-attend event for 2017.
Where can you attend a mock health & safety trial, learn about the factory of the future and gain hands-on experience of the cyber security threats to your site, all under one roof?
Look no further than the second Manufacturing Management Show (MMS), which is returning to Coventry’s Ricoh Arena from 22-23 November.
Attendees will enjoy free access to a best practice-led conference, featuring world-class speakers from the best of British manufacturing, along with a series of hands-on workshops and an exhibition that is two-thirds larger than the launch event last year.
MMS has been designed to make your time more efficient – no longer will you have to attend a number of different trade shows and events across the country to find the latest innovations for your site. Instead, just one day at MMS will see you getting to grips with Six Sigma, understanding the need for investment and learning the tricks of the trade for getting the best out of your workforce.
A high-quality conference programme
Taking on advice after last year’s event, the conference area for MMS 2017 has been moved onto the show floor. This is to encourage delegates to take in more of the show – exhibitors will be on hand to share their advice, and the workshops will offer practical training on a range of issues.
The conference, however, is a good place to start any visit to MMS. With 13 sessions just announced, there’s something for everyone, whatever your focus. Highlights include talks from BAE Systems, EEF and British Steel, as well as a two-hour, interactive mock trial outlining the ins and outs of a health & safety case.
The full list of conference sessions will be available for registration on the MMS website (www.mmshow.co.uk). There are no limits to the number of sessions you sign up for, but we recommend booking early, as spaces are limited.
Get out onto the show floor
You could, in theory, spend two days sat in the conference sessions and still get enough value to make a visit worthwhile. Indeed, last year, nearly two-thirds of attendees said they came predominately because of the conference content.
But there’s so much more to do than that. Step out of the conference and onto the show floor, and you’ll find a world brimming with the latest factory equipment and services.
Expert suppliers will be in attendance at the trade show to demonstrate the latest technology in all areas of site management, ranging from PPE to forklift trucks, and from ERP systems to warehouse automation.
On top of this, three workshops will be dotted across the show floor. These are similar to the conference, in that they offer expert opinion, but have an element of interactivity. Hands-on learning is the best way for a new concept or idea to sink in, so our guest presenters will be looking to engage with the audience and share best practice ideas. As with the conference, you can pre-register for your chosen workshops when signing up for your MMS ticket. Keep an eye on the website, as workshop sessions are regularly added to the line-up.
The best part? The cost
Manufacturing Management and MMS look to champion the best of UK manufacturing and spread that ethos for success through the whole industry. To help us achieve that, attendance to MMS – including the conference and workshops – is completely free. Come alone, by all means, but an even better idea would be to bring several members of your team and cover the conference, show and workshops between you. That way, you can be sure that you won’t have missed anything.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 2017 Manufacturing Management Show, this 22-23 November.
